Falling Apart
I am starting to feel as though I am falling apart, literally! And I am not even 30! First I have a swollen lymph node on my neck (it has been there for approx. 4 or 5 months). I have no other signs or symptoms with that and yes, I have had it looked at and everything has come back normal. But nevertheless it is still there. Next I "threw my back out" on Christmas day going to work. All I was doing was putting a box in my car, but as they say it isn't the actual even that causes the injury it is the years of abuse! Turned out to be some pulled muscles and a bulging disk. That, thankfully, is better! Now I have an eye twitch and a bum knee!!!! As for the eye twitch, I have no idea what has caused it, maybe stress, but let me just refer you to my friend, Andrea's blog on that subject matter. I am all for trying the Grey Goose (oops, I think it was the tonic water that was actually supposed to help!) But if it is stress related, I think the Vodka will be more helpful than the Tonic water! As for my knee, I have NO idea what I did to it. Except that I finally got back to exercising and now I can barely walk! I guess I was a little rusty, and maybe pushed too hard. Hopefully some ice and Ibuprofen will help (and Vodka??). This is very bad timing, I need to get my butt in shape for our trip to Mexico!! If I wan't paying for a membership at the Y, it would be a great "excuse" not to exercise! So anyway, Jesse is afraid I am falling apart! Truthfully, I think it is mostly a result of being too busy and trying to rush all the time and stress. Well, I am off to find myself the cure-all...Grey Goose, maybe I'll add the tonic water!
Caring Bridge
Hey! So in my previous blog I told you a little about my grandma Lorrie. But now there is a Caring Bridge Website for her. It has been so wonderful to be able to use it to keep up on how she is doing. Thank you so much to everyone for your prayers, I have been truly touched by the caring people in our lives!!

Prayers for Grandma Lorrie
My Grandma Lorrie is in Abbott in their cardiac ICU after having an aortic endartectomy (sp.) on Wed. They anticipated a 5 day stay, but there have been a few complications to say the least. She is still in ICU on a respirator, they have done a couple CT scans to check for internal bleeding as they have not been able to keep her BP up and she had abdominal swelling. So far those haven't shown anything really. They are giving her meds for her BP. Her kidney's aren't working very good right now and she is retaining a lot of fluid. And the hardest part to hear is that they said she appears to be in pain when they touch her. A nurse asked my mom if my grandma was real "sensitive" to pain (or as those who work in this area know, it means does she complain a lot). The answer to that is a very definite NO! I don't remember my grandma EVER complaining about aches and pains! It sounds like the Dr (the one who did the surgery I think??) was going to meet with family at 2 today, so I haven't heard anything yet from that meeting. I am hoping to go see her tomorrow, but that depends on the weather. But please say many prayers for my Grandma. Prayers for healing and guidance to the nurses and doctors at Abbott. Thank you Everyone!!

What?! No Internet??!!
So, for the past week we have been virtually without the internet, it has been so slow most of the time that it is IMPOSSIBLE to even get on. And for an even longer time before that it was just slightly slow. It got really bad on Friday. I wasn't sure what to do, I am NO computer expert and was kind of freaking out! I tried the things I knew to try, didn't work. Well, we had a busy day and didn't get back to it until Sat. or more like Sun. We tried Charter first thinking it might be there problem. Of course there is no one available to help you then, so on Mon. I FINALLY got to talk to a rep, and he said they would send someone out on Tues. So we had to wait ANOTHER day. Today they came out and for once I got it right. It was Charter's problem, we had a bad router. So they fixed it, Thanks Josh (it happened to be a friend of ours that works for them that came out!)! So we finally have working (and SUPER FAST :) internet again. But while we didn't have the interent I realized how much I rely on it! I couldn't do the obvious like check my email or facebook. But I also couldn't look up possible travel option/prices, I couldn't do my online banking. We were going to go to a movie and I realized I couldn't even check movie times! While it was unavailable I (of course) wanted to use it more than ever! And I realized how much we take for granted this technology working! Wow, what a different world we live in now!

And more...
There must be an easier way to do this, it will only let me download 5 at a time, I should put them on Shutterfly and do an album thing like it did for that pic of Emma. But that would take too long! Anyway, here are a few more pics. And Finally a pic of Baby Grady! (That would be Andy and Missy's baby, the baby I am holding in one pic). Allison actually didn't really mind when I was holding him.
More Pics
Here are a few more pics from Emma's Birthday party and Christmas. I tried to post a newborn pic and one of Emma now but I don't have the pic of Emma saved to the computer, just saved to Shutterfly so anyway, I thougth I figured out how to download it, but it didn't really work the way I wanted it to, but you get the idea.
Happy Birthday Emma!
Happy First Birthday to my sweet niece, EMMA!! I can't BELIEVE it has been 1 year already! We celebrated her B-day Jan. 2 at my mom and dad's house. It will be so much fun to watch her and Allison grow up together. Allison wanted all Emma's toys! Emma stood her ground once, which is good! Emma LOVED her b-day cake (my mom made it, I forgot to get a before pic.). I have video of her eating it, but I have a little problem with our camera, turns out we didn't get some CD we need to download things to the computer! We bought the display one. I still have to call Best Buy, but I am afraid they won't have it anymore! AGH! I think I have the worst luck with that place! Anyway, Happy Birthday Sweetie! We love you!! xoxo!

A Little Bedtime Reading...
Tonight I found Allison quietly sitting in the corner reading one of my books. It was so funny, it was as if she was actually reading it, she was so quiet. Of course when I went to get a pic, she stopped. But she was reading the Healthy Sleep, Happy Baby book! In her jammies just before bed. I thought that was pretty funny. She is just too smart! And the other is just a cute pic of her in her Kitty Jammies from Great Aunt Cyndee.

Update to the Update!
No, it was NOT another ear infection! THANK GOD! I think the tubes are working great, however I think my sweet baby girl was having her first nightmares! We don't know if the two are related but she did also fall down the stairs on Tues. night and then it was Tues. night she was up a lot and Wed. night 1x but with much sobbing! She slept all night last night and has been napping great! We are mostly to 1 nap now, 2+ hours at about 1:00. At least when she is home with us. When I have to bring her to daycare and get her up at 6 a.m. I think she still takes a short morning nap at Rhonda's. We do have the post-op recheck next week on her ear tubes. Side note, I saw ENT today for a swollen lymph node. She wasn't too worried but did do a needle biopsy. I have NO other symptoms, but it has been this way for 6+ months and my regular Dr. made the referal. Needless to say I am SOOOO sick of going to ACMC!!!!! Poor Brian, the door guy and my good friend, Holli's dad, probably thinks we are the sickliest bunch he has ever seen! So, looking forward to NOT going to the clinic except only for well-child checks now!

15 Months and Update
I'm a bit late with this, but Allison had her 15 month check-up the week before her tubes were placed, she had to have a physical with-in 30 days and was due for her check the week after anyway. She is officially 15 months as of Dec. 30. She is tall and thin for her age (not really surprising, look at her dad!). She is 21 lbs 14 oz and 31 inches long. I have to take her in for shots sometime this week or next, we didn't want to get them right before getting her tubes and with Christmas coming up the next day. She has never had a problem with them, but I was feeling rather whimpy that day and didn't want to risk anything!
And an update on the poor kiddos ears...not even 2 weeks since the tubes were placed and she has her first ear infection, I think. She has not been sleeping the best and had a bunch of drainage from her right ear. Called a friend and colleague from work whose little boy has tubes and she confirmed my suspicion that it was probably an infection. I am Soooo bummed that the poor kid has one again already!!!!!! BUT the really good thing, we can now treat with ear drops instead of oral antibiotics. And we had some left that we used after surgery. I will call her ENT tomorrow, but she already seems much better!
Well, hope everyone had a great New Year's! I will hopefully get around to posting pictures later this week. Do NOT like this increadibly cold snap we have, but we will get through it! Jan. is the hardest month for me! Anyway, Happy New Year! 2010!!! Wow!
