6 Months

Miss Allison is 6 months old already! I can't believe it! It is so amazing how much they learn, grow, change and develop in such a short time! She is sitting on her own now (I still usually put the boppy behind her, just in case yet) talking up a storm and eating some fruits and veggies with her cereal now. We saw Dr. Swanson (Allison's pediatrician) yesterday for her checkup. She weighs 17 lbs 2 oz now and is 26 inches long! She got her last set of shots now until her 12 month check (I think)! She was such a trooper! Screamed, took a nap and woke up happy. Hopefully we have a good night and she doesn't get too stiff. Here are some pictures of her. She LOVES the phone and is always reaching for it! I left it on the pillow in front of her and she went right after it! And here is a link to Allison's 6 month pictures:

What Happened Allison?!

The other day Allison was playing on her mat and I left the room to get something and I heard her talking away...went to check on her and found her like this! She was so funny. Not too upset but like "What in the world happened" and "Please help me fix this thing!". I had to get the camera first!

Happy Birthday Jodi

For Jodi's Birthday we went to the cities and stayed in a hotel last Sat. Went to MOA and had a few drinks! Then Jodi flew out Sun. morning to sunny, warm, Florida!! So jealous! So, Happy Birthday Jodi and hope you had fun in FL!!

Human Race 5K

Ran my first race in almost 2 years (preggo last year) and survived! Found out I am not in as good a shape as I used to be! But still made my goal of less than 30 min. Brad Triplett ran with me (well not "with" me...he is much faster!), Jodi was in FL and I haven't quite convinced Jesse of the joy of running yet! Foot Lake 4...?? Maybe... Anyway, it did feel good to finish and I am hoping to do more 5k's this spring/summer.

Oh, it was the Human Race in St. Paul on the St. Thomas campus that we ran. It was gorgeous at race time, 50 and sunny but a little windy.

Happy Spring!

Well, Spring "Officially" arrives on Friday, but we have been enjoying the warmer weather when we can! This picture was actually taken almost 2 weeks ago (that Sunday it got really nice before it decided to snow on us again!). Allison loves going for walks and just being outside. 2 days ago when it was 60 we were sitting on the deck and she almost fell asleep on my shoulder! Loving it!!

Cute Video

Just a cute little video of Allison. Sorry about the camera strap and the unsteadiness of the operator...

Tough Week

Well, Allie had kind of a rough week last week! Luckily I had the week off until starting nights Friday night! Wed. she woke up and just was not herself. She was fussy and clingy, usually she is very good and will play on the floor or in her jumperoo, but she just wanted to be held. I ended up taking her in and basically she just had a nasty cold virus. (She was exposed to RSV, but he said if it WAS RSV, it was a mild case). So just push fluids and use Tylenol/Motrin as needed. She had a fever Wed. night and Thursday, 103.5 was the highest it got, and by Thursday night I was starting to think she was feeling better. She played in her jumperoo and splashed like crazy in her bath. Then we went to give her her bed time bottle and she started crying, and I don't mean just fussing, this was full blown screaming, crying. I undressed her and checked her all over and couldn't find anything. She cried for about 25 min. before she just fell asleep in my arms. I figured it was an ear infection then (even though they were fine on Wed.). So, Fri. morning we took her back to the Dr. and sure enough...she had an ear infection! She is doing much better now! We started the cereal again (she wasn't having it when she wasn't feeling good and the dr. said we should probably wait until she was feeling better) and she has been such a good baby! I will post some pictures again soon!

Five Months!

Allison is 5 months old already! This past month she got another cold but she is pretty much over that and did not get another ear infection! She has "discovered" her feet and loves to grab them (well she pretty much grabs anything she can) and has started squeeling. She does this when she is happy and when she is upset. It is kind of ear piercing! She rolled over 2x at the beginning of the month and has since decided she does not need to do that anymore. She is so much fun, doing and discovering new things every day!

First Cereal

Miss Allison got cereal for the first time yesterday (Sat., Feb. 28) morning. She did very good at first and then decided enough was enough and she wanted her bottle. The video was from the end of the feeding so she was getting fussy and ready for her milk. She took a few more bites after her bottle. I'm sure it won't be long and she will love her cereal! She does love to eat!

God's Blessings to Emma Colleen

Last weekend Emma Colleen was baptised and Jesse and I (and Jenny's brother, Luke) are her Godparent's. It went very well, I don't think Emma fussed at all, Allison on the other hand decided during baptism was a good time to voice her issues. God Bless Emma!
