Missing Momma

Last weekend I worked all weekend.  On Sunday night when I was tucking Allison in she said, I asked dad all day "When's mom going to be home?".  I said, "you did?  I missed you today too!".  To which she replied, "Did you ask your boss all day, when can I go home and see my kids?".  So sweet!!!  That is the tough thing about working 12 hour shifts all weekend!!

Twas the night before Christmas

Trying to get a picture of the girls in front of the tree before bed on Christmas Eve!  They did pretty good considering it was way past bedtime after a fun night of Christmas celebration at Grandma and Grandpa Mages house.  But I got some good ones!
Lol, this one makes me laugh, Allie is mad because Kara is pulling on her skirt!

Giving kisses!

They were so excited for Santa to come!

Dance Recital

Allison also had her first dance recital Dec. 21.  I was so nervous for her.  There were a LOT of people there to watch and she had been so shy at the church program.  But she does love dance and was very excited to wear her outfit.  These 2 events have made me realize even more just how much we either need to figure out how to make our video camera work or invest in a new one (Jesse would kill me!!).  Jesse recorded the dance on his phone.  It is pretty good as far as phone recordings go, but I would LOVE to have it on actual video (or digital media whatever you want to call it these days!).  Here are some of the pics I got.  She was ALL smiles this time!

Christmas Program for Mom!

I was invited to Allison's preschool for a program for mom's (dad's got doughnuts with dad in November) Dec. 20.  I LOVED it!!  They sang some songs for us and made us presents!  And snacks.  I enjoyed EvErY minute I was there.  Allison asked me after she was done singing why I kept smiling while she was singing!  I just said because I was so happy and proud of her!  Here are a few pics from that...

Not so Chubby Chubbers

I don't really know where to begin, there are so many things I could/should blog about!!  So these might be a little out of order from anytime in the last month!!

Kara had her 18 month check up December 12.  She is doing great, smart, meeting (surpassing :) all the milestones she should be, but turns out she isn't so chubby!!  In fact, she lost weight from her 15 to 18 month check ups.  However, she had been sick the weekend before her appointment with the stomach flu, so I know she hadn't been eating as much as she was prior yet.  Doctor wasn't too worried, just wants us to bring her in sometime around 21 months (no appt. until 2 years...wow, my baby's going to be 2!!~) to be weighed again.  And put her back on whole milk (she was getting 2%) with butter on everything!  But she is doing good.  Eating good again, so I think she will have gained some wt!  Little thing weighed 22 lbs 13 oz at her 15 month check up and was 22lbs 10oz at this 18 mo. check up.  She had grown an inch and is now 32.5 inches, so she is growing too!!  I am interested to see how much weight she gains!

Her tubes had come out, not really too surprised, she had them placed last December.  So now I am on edge for ear infections.  She has a cold right now, but so far so good!!  Continues to sleep (and eat) good.
